Herbal Compress — A Workshop for Practitioners

The art and practice of using traditional herbal compresses in a session.

A deeper iteration of Rasananda’s earlier herbal compress workshops, this training will focus on the use and application of herbal compresses with regards to the layers of the body, timing for peak results and how to integrate with different modalities. Herbal Compresses are a tool in Traditional Thai Medicine that are rich in history, following an age-old formula that has been passed down through lineages and remain a beloved and effective aspect of Thai Massage and spa experiences around the world.

In this 2 hour workshop, practitioners will:

  • learn how to prepare herbal compresses correctly for a client session

  • develop key talking points about the herbs, their properties and results clients can expect

  • learn techniques to test, introduce, and moderate usage for different populations

  • have time to practice on each other with observation & feedback

  • have the opportunity to purchase bulk compresses at a discounted rate

  • receive a discount for an herbal compress bodywork session with Pasha

Pre-Requisites: Attendees should hold a current license to touch (massage therapy, nursing, etc.) and have a comfortable working knowledge of anatomy & physiology. Previous experience with herbs is not required.

Registration: $135
includes two herbal compresses, product knowledge & technique, talking point script and on-going support for incorporating this tool into your practice.

What to Bring to Class:
