Rasānanda Ayurveda is a traditional medicine practice focused on bringing physical and mental relief by way of herbal infusions, tonics, oils, and other medicinals. We started by making oils for our personal hair & body care and herbal infusions to manage period cramps. Today, we sell our products to customers in the US and abroad through our online shop and wholesale to small local retail shops in the US. All items are intentionally handcrafted in small batches in Richmond, Virginia with organic, local and global ingredients.

AYURVEDA

Ayurveda translates to “the science of life,” and is the longstanding traditional medical system of southeast Asia and is still practiced in India, Nepal and a growing number of western countries today. Ayurvedic therapies include herbal medicines, customized diets, meditation, movement, massage, medical oils and other purification and rejuvenative techniques. The philosophy of Ayurveda approaches life, health, sickness and death quite differently from modern medicine, yet the therapies and techniques are effective enough to have lasted. With a focus on eliminating impurities, reducing symptoms and mental stress, increasing resistance to disease and overall harmony in life Ayurveda works to purify, balance and rejuvenate the mind, body and spirit.
At Rasānanda Ayurveda it is our mission to create herbal medicinals that are as enjoyable to take as they are effective in their purpose – blissful nectars. With origins in traditional Indian and Thai medicine, each formulation is overseen by a traditional medicine doctor who practices in southeast Asia and the United States. With extensive knowledge of herbal medicine, pharmacology and clinical practice seeing these herbs and rejuvenatives in use, we are confident in providing more tools for you to support your health.
About Our Process
Each product begins with determining the proper ingredients and method to address a particular concern. With consideration to flavor or scent, ease of use and availability and sustainability of the ingredients, the products are assembled in specific proportions to deliver the best qualities of the herbs in the final product (ie: oil, infusion, etc.) All Rasananda products have been reviewed, tested and confirmed by our traditional medicine doctor before being made available to the public.
We source organic herbs from well known providers in the United States and certain specialty ingredients from Asia and around the world. We value fair-trade business, sustainable farms and growers. Our products are made in small batches to ensure freshness when it arrives on your doorstep. Our packaging is either recyclable or reusable. Our labels are mess-free.
Our herbal medicinals are strong enough to provide noticeable effects and safe enough to use every day. About the Founder
Pasha Kat Yuen is an herbalist and entrepreneur in Richmond, Virginia. Through her experience in therapeutic bodywork of the structural form of the body and how it functions, it quickly became clear that external physical therapies are just one piece to treating a whole person. Her studies in Traditional Thai medicine and Ayurveda were essential in building upon this structural knowledge and discovering the way herbs have been used with traditional methods for thousands of years. She is currently studying to gain certification in Ayurveda.
Pasha’s herbal medicine practice is supported by studies from root medical texts, foundational western biomedical studies, and clinical experience. The oils and infusions of Rasananda were originally study tools for Pasha to learn and experience these herbs in her personal studies. Our first two products, the Hair & Scalp Oil and Cramp Tonic were functional herbals that were helpful and delightful to use for personal use. As the potency and effectiveness of these herbs and their properties was made clear, Pasha’s collection of herbal recipes blossomed into the product line you see today – available to those far and wide.
